Lets talk SkinCare Ingredients

Lets talk SkinCare Ingredients

There are some key skincare ingredients  catergories that you have to know!

Lets chat about the difference with Humectants, emollients, and sealants.

  1. Humectants are ingredients that attract and retain moisture from the environment, helping to keep the skin hydrated. Examples of humectants include glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and propylene glycol.

  2. Emollients are ingredients that help to soften and soothe the skin by filling in the gaps between skin cells. They help to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of dry, rough, or flaky skin. Examples of emollients include natural oils, like coconut oil or jojoba oil, and synthetic ingredients, like silicone.

  3. Sealants are ingredients that form a barrier on the skin's surface, preventing moisture loss and protecting the skin from environmental damage. They help to lock in moisture and keep the skin hydrated. Examples of sealants include petrolatum, beeswax, and mineral oil.

In skincare, humectants, emollients, and sealants are often used together to create a comprehensive skincare regimen that addresses different skin concerns.Humectants help to hydrate the skin, emollients help to soften and soothe the skin, and sealants help to protect and lock in moisture.

We're excited as our Shea Creams currently in production have a great proportion of all three types of ingredients which will make sure to hydrate, soften skin and retain moisture  while giving eveyrone a healthy raidant glow.
